2a/ Anyhow Anyway (McKella) - Live at Blind Cat Festival 2016

from by Paradise 9

/
  • Compact Disc (CD) + Digital Album

This album celebrates 20 years of playing their fusion of psychedelic space rock and proto-punk, with flourishes of folk, americana, prog, dub, ambient and alt- rock at gigs and festivals around the UK. The album is a collection from those early days when the band emerged from playing at various West London singer/songwriter nights such as The Acoustic Revolution, The Troubadour and The 12 Bar Club up to last year’s Kozfest and Blind Cat festivals.

The CD also comes with a band family tree pull out poster that details the changes in the band over the years. The CD and poster artwork have been designed by Paul ‘Woodbine’ Woodwright, who has also incorporated the artwork from the late great album cover artist, Mark Reiser.

lyrics

Anyhow Anyway
I feel the dark winter night – bearing down on me
I see a neon light – flashing for all to see
I make my way – pacing anxiety
Looking at people – in this strange city

And I know you got the message to me – you know we can be
And I know I'll get it back to you – you know we can do
And I know you know it's all the same – and does it ever change
And I know we gonna push it on thru – you know we can do
Anyhow – anyway

And now the weather's turned cold – you glisten in the rain
I see you check your image – in a shop window pane
You know there must be shelter – we got to get far from here
To bury those emotions – bury these fears

And I know you got the message to me – you know we can be
And I know I'll get it back to you – you know we can do
And I know you know it's all the same – and does it ever change
And I know we gonna push it on thru – you know we can do
Anyhow – anyway

And in walking this life – walking these legacies
We're looking for shelter – we're looking for sanctuary
Get the feeling right – and hope this weather's gonna change
Can you see that light – I hope it's in range

And I know you got the message to me – you know we can be
And I know I'll get it back to you – you know we can do
And I know you know it's all the same – and does it ever change
And I know we gonna push it on thru – you know we can do
Anyhow – anyway
